italian and english text
The rationalist style, the Italian architectural style in the thierties, is the object of Ferri’s photograph study.
This modern style is analized from a new point of view thanks to the Ferri’s shots. The buildings, example of Italian rationalism, are observed for the first time not in a contextualized setting but as if they were cut off from the other contemporary structures. This process let us see with a new eyes their real shapes as if they were naked. A virtual work which points out all the buildings or fragments of them which seem floating in the time, showing a classical monumentality and elements of the new modernity.
Fabrizio Ferri’s pictures bring us to the essence of the architect’s idea and let us discover the aesthetic sense of this buildings.
